Replacing Designer Table Lamps
Designer table lamps-If your home needs a little improvement, try a new table lamp. Instead of buying designer table lamps in a home-furnishings store, find a thrifty used light and transform it into your own style. Again make a table lamp and give it the face-lift for life with just a few simple changes. You do not have any significant artistic talent to take a table lamp from drab to fab in no time.
Remove the lamp shade, incandescent and some metal parts that will come off easily from the old lamp replaced with designer table lamps. Set them aside. Cover the cord and any metal parts (gear or brackets that hold the shade in place) with masking tape to protect them. Spray cap with a coat of spray paint in your choice of colors. Let the paint dry and then spray another coat if needed for full coverage. Cut small pieces of decorative fabrics that match your lampshade (as a general guideline, cut squares or circles that are about 2 to 4 inches on all sides). Paint a thin layer of glue on a small part of the lampshade. Layer pieces of fabrics you cut earlier on top of the glue.
